:iconbellydanceplz:  In April we took a little trip in the afternoon to the *Leopoldsberg*. :iconbellydanceplz:
It was beautiful weather for this eventful changeable month, and so the visibility was also very good.
The view of Vienna and the Danube, as well as fields and small vineyards was gorgeous.

The *Leopoldsberg* (425 m, 1,394 ft) is perhaps Vienna’s most famous hill, towering over the Danube and the city.
Leopoldberg’s most prominent landmark is the church which stands at the top, and which is clearly visible from Vienna below.

Composed in 1868, G'schichten aus dem Wienerwald, op. 325 was one of six Viennese waltzes by Johann Strauss II which featured a virtuoso part for zither.
The waltz's premiere that year reiterated the ascendancy that the dance had made from its humble village origins to become one of the pleasures
of fashionable Viennese society, largely thanks to the performing and composing talents of the Strauss dynasty.
Nevertheless, the title of Strauss' dance recalls the folk music of the inhabitants of the Vienna Woods.
